Oh bring out the chocolate and kleenex...

Well it's been a long time. An awfully long tim. Too long.
And for this, and so many other things i am sorry.

In the past month of so i have been rather dormant (apart from submissions) and have given you no reason. I know some of you hate journals where people spill out their problems and this was partly the reason why i haven't submitted this journal.

I was slightly inspired by ¢mynti's journal. I was inspired by it's honesty. So that's what i'm going to do.

I am sorry for not keeping up with my commitments on DA. Deeply sorry for not only do they mean the world to me but i know they mean a lot to so many other people as well. There are so many clubs/articles and other amazing stuff that i'm involved in and that i haven't been able to do due to personal stuff.

Personal stuff. It sounds a bit.....i don't know.......stand-offish. My "personal stuff" consists of many many hard exams and lots of important assignments with terrifyingly close due dates. It also consists of consistantly bad health problems for my family...(my Granmother is very weak in hospital and my mother is up visiting her.) I am busy revising and missing/hoping for some hope on the health front.
However, i am also trying to be happy in life. I have been doing loads of reading lately and have found a the really brilliant, wonderful fantastic, magical, beautiful series of books that make up "The Gemma Doyle Trilogy". I finish the last book last night and as always cried like a baby (not that that helped.)

I just wanted to slot in her about you. Please PLEASE don't think i've forgotten you. I check in every day and fave devs and answer comments and most importantly read journals. I know some of you must feel neglected that i do not comment on your journal anymore but be assured that i read every word. My thoughts are with you! Be happy!

In terms of doing commitments on DA i will try desperately from now on to continue with as many as possible and to get them out as fast as i can. I have already sent notes to some people (especially *EliteArtists since i know their submission reigime is like a well oiled machine!). But please don't fret if some of the news articles i submit come out later than planned. At this point i would like to thank some people for their support and understanding. To *Iardacil and to everyone at *EliteArtists for their continugin support but especially to =Rickbw1 for not getting annyoed when i send him angsty notes.

But most of all to you, my watchers. You pull me through all this, you give me something to come back and i know that hopefully you'll always be here no matter how dormant i get. So thank you.

As i said i will try and get on and do things and be more active. I've many messages to do, especially favourites (Thank you!)....

Firstly, i've heard lots of journal about the mudkips avvies on April 1st. I thought someone had hacked DevART like many others and at first found it really annoying that i couldn't tell which friend was which. But after spending almost a complete day on DevART i started to love these guys and after they'd gone i missed the randomness they gave to all of us. Say hello to ~Mudkip

And also i am goin away for a week so won't be able to check my messages as vigilantly as i normally do. I also submitted my "Behana's Bits n' Bobs" latest article today so i won't miss an issue. I'll submit the nest one when i get back. (You can see the link to this latest one below)

Cracked Pepper

At last I'm feeling inspired *touches wood* and ready to do battle with Photoshop again. I have loads of ideas wizzing round my head and am poised to pluck them out and put them onto canvas.
This might be inspired by my sudden surge of reading which i've been doing. To my relief, i have rediscovered my love of reading and ma wallowing in it by reading as many books as possible. I love it!

I also love the new Portfolio feature for DevArt! It's great and with a few tweaks it'll be superb and available for everyone. There are some really great new tools that the DevArt team have come up with and if they carry on like this, we'll be the best art site in the world (not that we're not already

)

As we near easter it gets harder to avoid chocolate at the supermarket, but i don't mind i've gotten used to it. But it still gives me a little pang to see people eating easter eggs. I'll just stick with my tasty salt and cracked black pepper crackers! They ROCK!

A quick pimp slot here to wish my talented, sweet, kind and wonderful friend Kadri (*Iardacil) a very happy and wishful Birthday. Enjoy yourself hun!

For now that's all, been a bit down lately but i'll try not to burden you with my troubles cause i know many of you have your own lives. Just a hug'll be fine!

This is not my christmas

Death. It's strange isn't it. You see someone and tell them you love them, and then suddenly, unexpectedly they're gone. Forever.

It's kinda become a tradition for people in my family to die near Christmas....(my grandad died when i was 2 at christmas)

Today, my great aunt died. (it feels strange saying it)
I remember all the times when i was little she bought me these little knick-naks things...odd jobs you didn't really want...but i did......i wanted them....

When i grew older and she shrunk and i grew a she gave me money and really sweet birthday presents.

She has been ill it's true bit i never expected....

In the last few years...i think her family half abandoned her....and our family took her out for dinner in her favourite place..(she may have eaten slowly but she ate like a horse).......

Then just in the last few weeks...after i sent out some cards....she said...(through gran..who was her best friend)....

...that i was one of the sweetest girls she knew.....she said i was sweet because i hepled her everywhere......talked to her not like an inferioir person but as an eual and also...because i wrote and said thank you....wrote and said i love her......

...and now....gone. In the blink of an eye. All that long life. Gone. Forever.

I am not scared. Well i don't think i am, i feel a bit numb and a bit sorry but apart from that i feel perfectly normal.

Some of you my know that i have been consistently ill for some time....2-3 years to be more precise....

and now having looked through my files and all the consistent illnesses....antibiotics after antibiotics....illness after illness..........it is now thought by me and my family and friends that i don't have what the doctors thought i had....CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) but i have a serious overgrowth of Candida.

For those of you who don't know..which i suspect will be many..since i didn't know what it was...it's a fungus that grows in your gut. If you have loads of antibiotics it destroys all the good bacteria giving the Candida a free reign.

If it spreads outside your gut it gives you a variety of different symptoms that affect various parts of the body. I read through the list of the symptoms and i recognized at least half that i had suffered from...which is only right in the most severest of cases.....(most people only suffer from one or two)

....apparently according to my mum who's read up about it...it can be life-threatening if left unchecked.

So the diagnosis.....(to keep you up to date i have not been feeling well for the last few days anyway..nasty dizzy thing)

...i am not allowed anything containing even the smallest amount of sugar...not only does that discount chocoloate but it counts out various types of fruit too......

...i have to eat vegetables....fish and high quality meat.....over a period of time things might get better......

....just in time for christmas...although mum has assured me that i can have a roast potato on christmas day...

I am probably going to just take of all the time from now till christmas so that gives us a 4 week head start to really hit this thing....

....but i will feel terrible.......i know.......i am not allowed no sugar...so i will get withdrawal symptoms...and because we are trying to destroy overactive Candida...everything we do the Candida will not like...so i am likely to get violent reactions to that too....for that reason i am probably going to be at home quite a lot....

...do not worry i am still going to be here...i am still going to keep up all my commitments....Future Stars..Admin.....Contest......do not worry i am going to be fine.......however bad things get.....

Forgotten Folklore Contest

Yep, you guessed it, the theme of my contest is forgotten folklore. What me to explain a little more? Read on!

The theme forgotten folklore is all about lost myths and legends. You entries should be inspired by a tale (can be real or created) where you picture shows us a taste of what your tale is all about.

For example you could use Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, you could have a piece depicting Queen Guienevere and Sir Lancelot. Merlin?
Anything you wish but remember to be creative.

There’s an awful lot of creative space here but if you feel a bit lost don’t hesitate to note me and I’ll try and explain it more fully.

Category’s open are:
